The 'customer-orientated' Nantwich estate agents taking the area by storm

Meet James Du Pavey, the independent "customer-orientated" estate agents taking Nantwich and the wider area by storm for more than a decade.
Operating from 52 Pillory Street since 2014, James Du Pavey Nantwich is made up of a team of eight, operating a "personal" service to all.
James Du Pavey's core areas for this branch include CW5 (Nantwich), CW2 (Crewe) and CW3 (Betley), as well as further afield.

Branch manager, James Latham, told Nub News: "In Nantwich, we have been open for 11 years, with three other branches operating in Staffordshire.
"James Du Pavey launched in Eccleshall in 2010, before expanding to Stone and then in Nantwich in 2014. We opened in Cheadle this February.
"As an estate agents, have taken Nantwich and the surrounding area storm. We are very much a market leader for house sales in Nantwich instructing 61 sales this year to date.
"We are always in the top two in the local area for housing stock, constantly vying for the top spot.
"For this branch, our core areas are CW5, CW2 and CW3. We do sell properties in Sandbach, Alsager and a lot of rural locations going up towards Whitchurch. It is quite a big patch.
"As a whole, James Du Pavey is a very modern estate agents. We are very focused on the digital side of things and keep up with social media trends.
"We are very customer-orientated. We don't tie people into contracts and don't have any minimum set periods. We just want customers to be with us because they are happy."
James Du Pavey sees Nantwich as a "growing" market town, popular for all-year-round events and a vibrant place to buy a house in.

Across the past year, the estate agents has seen house prices continue to rise in the area.
Mr Latham said: "For families, the schools are highly regarded. Transport is also good being not far from Crewe. Nantwich town centre is also a great place to shop with units rarely empty for long.
"In the last 12 months, across two calculations we have used, Nantwich house prices have have increased by around 5 per cent.
"In this area we are lucky as everywhere is well sought-after. If people are after amenities, Nantwich and Audlem are very popular as they are both vibrant. Betley is also popular for its countryside charm.
"We haven't found the property market challenging this year or last year. We did have some challenging spells in 2022 and 2023 as mortgage rates increased.
"Across the past 18 months or so we have had a consistently successful time with no quiet spells.
"The demand and supply for houses is quite evenly balanced right now which is good for us.
"Our average sale price for the year to date is £375,000, which is a core bracket for us."
James Du Pavey is open 9am to 5.30pm (Monday to Friday) and 9am to 4pm (Saturday). You can contact them by calling 01270 445678 or emailing [email protected].
