A popular fish and chip shop in Nantwich town centre has officially reopened under new management, after its last operators left last month.
The Market Plaice, Market Street, which has been closed since Saturday 11 May when owners, Eugene and Zoe, departed the business, welcomed back customers on Tuesday 28 May.
This chippy has been taken over by the experienced duo of Mr Romario Ballai and Mr Lulzim Ndreka.
Mr Ndreka worked as the manager at Pepper Street Fryer in the town for 10 years, with Mr Ballai previously working as a fryer at Benny's Fish and Chips in Crewe.
The Market Plaice had been closed for over two weeks, with the pair carrying out a major interior refurbishment.
On May 14, Mr Ballai said: "I am very happy to be in the position to announce that myself and my friend, Lulzim Ndreka, took over 'The Market Plaice Fish and Chips,' Market Street, Nantwich.
"The shop will be closed for the next couple of weeks due to undergo some work inside.
"We are really excited and are looking forward to this new adventure."
Previous owners, Eugene and Zoe will be opening a new restaurant on Hospital Street, in the "very near future."
The Market Plaice is open 11:30am to 2pm and 4:30pm to 8:30pm (Monday to Saturday). Cash and card payments are accepted.
