A police helicopter circled over Nantwich to help find a missing Nantwich woman, thankfully later found safe and well.

On Monday 13 January, Cheshire Police were alerted to concerns for the welfare of a woman in Nantwich.

At 5.55pm, local officers, supported by the police helicopter conducted a wide search of the town.

Over five hours later, shortly after 11pm, the woman was found and supported by emergency services.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 5.55pm on Monday 13 January police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman In Nantwich.

"Local officers, supported by the police helicopter, conducted a search of the area and the woman was subsequently located safe and well shortly after 11pm."
