Plans have been put forward for a new gym facility with a roof terrace in Nantwich town centre, located behind a charity shop.

Applicant, JGB Properties has submitted proposals on behalf of 10 Swine Market, with the front of the ground floor now occupied by Hope House Charity Shop.

The applicants wants to construct a gym to the ground floor of existing building, along with window and door changes, external material changes and the addition of a roof terrace.

A party wall has previously been erected at the site, providing separation between the front part of the ground floor (charity shop) and the rear part.

The proposed roof terrace would have a cover over table tennis table and pool table, a water feature and tower, as well as covered and uncovered seating areas.

A design and access statement says: "The site is an appropriate location for the development and demonstrates the proposals developed are in accordance with relevant local planning policy.

"The proposed development has been designed to be respectful to the neighbouring properties and the character of the area.
