Fans of bestselling author Peter James gathered in droves in Nantwich, where the crime novelist held a book signing for his latest release. 

The event at Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge, High Street, on Thursday 19 September, saw dozens of eager readers lining up to secure a spot to meet the author.

James, who is best known for his 'Roy Grace' crime thriller series signed copies of his latest novel, 'One of Us Is Dead'.

His visit to Nantwich was part of a national tour celebrating the book's success, and the town's literary community welcomed him enthusiastically.

"We didn't expect this level of turnout, it's fantastic to see such excitement for Peter's work," said Kathryn Rush of Nantwich Bookshop. "People have travelled from across Cheshire to be here."

As fans clutched their copies of James' latest book, the atmosphere was buzzing with anticipation. Many attendees expressed their admiration for his ability to blend intricate police procedural detail with gripping storytelling.

Peter James took time to greet each reader, posing for photos, answering questions, and signing his latest work.

James' 'Roy Grace' series, which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, follows the life and career of Brighton-based detective Roy Grace.

The books have earned James a dedicated fanbase, and several have been adapted for ITV television series 'Grace' (starring John Simm).

Peter James took time to greet each reader, posing for photos, answering questions, and signing his latest work (Jonathan White).

The signing event was hailed as a huge success, with many attendees expressing hope that James would return to Nantwich for future releases.

"This is one of the biggest turnouts we've seen for a book signing," said Kathryn Rush. "It is a testament to Peter's talent and the loyal following he has built over the years."

For those who missed the signing, copies of 'One of Us Is Dead' are still available at Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge at 46 High Street in Nantwich while stocks last.
