A new independent deli and wine bar has opened in Nantwich town centre, taking on the former Rodney Densem Wines shop which closed last June.

Edwards Deli and Wine, 4 Pillory Street, launched on Wednesday 29 January, operated by Kelly Woodnutt and Greek partner, Vasileios, of St Martha Greek Taverna.

The Willaston residents' new business is named after Kelly's grandad, Edward Jones, with the 84-year-old working hard to transform the unit.

Edwards Deli and Wine has ground floor and first floor seating, with potential for a seated garden at the rear during the summer - which would be dog-friendly.

The new Nantwich business, which employs six staff, offers a wide variety of food and drink, able to be viewed HERE.

Edwards Deli and Wine said: "Wow what a welcome everyone has given us.

"It has been a massive week and we haven't stopped but we would like to thank everyone who has been to see us this week.

Edwards Deli and Wine is open 10am to 9pm (Tuesday to Thursday), 10am to 11pm (Friday and Saturday) and 11am to 9pm (Sunday) (Edwards Deli and Wine).

"We also thank you all for being kind and patient while we find our feet in our new venue. You have all certainly kept us moving."
