New corner shop set to open on Nantwich residential street

A new convenience store is set to open on a terraced street in Nantwich, taking on the former Premier shop unit.

This January, Mr. Perampalam Amirthalingam of OSB Food & Wine, submitted a premises licence application on behalf of 2 Arnold Street.

Mr Amirthalingam has applied to supply alcohol from the shop for consumption off the premises from 8am to 11pm, seven days a week.

The licensing application is on display at the Nantwich corner shop, with a decision expected this spring.

The premises licence application reads: "Notice is hereby given that I, Mr. Perampalam Amirthalingam, have applied on 20 January 2026 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as OSB Food & Wine, 2 Arnold Street, Nantwich.

"This is for a Premises Licence to provide the following licensable activities: The supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises. Monday to Sunday, 8am to 11pm."

Representations to OSB Food & Wine's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Tuesday 17 February.
