By Ryan Parker 31st Mar 2026
Nantwich Brine Pool at Nantwich Leisure Centre is set to reopen for the 2026 season on Friday 10 April, offering six outdoor lanes for swimmers of all levels.
The UK's last remaining inland brine pool, which first opened on 1 July 1935, ranges in depth from 0.9 to 2.3 metres.
Its water is maintained at 22°C, with summer temperatures reaching around 24°C thanks to solar heating.
Online booking is required for all outdoor swim sessions.

Everybody members can reserve eight days in advance, while non-members can book seven days ahead, through the 'Ticketed Activities' section of the Leisure Hub.
Nantwich Leisure Centre said: "We are delighted to announce that the outdoor pool will be opening on Friday 10 April, 2026.
"Keep your eyes out over the next week for more information on the pool timetable and booking information."
