By Ryan Parker 10th Apr 2026
A Nantwich Thai restaurant has permanently closed down after proudly serving the local community for 18 years.
Aroi-Thai, Pillory Street, which first opened in March 2008, announced its closure with immediate effect on the morning of Wednesday 8 April.
Operated by Chris Vaughan, Sunshine and team, the tapas restaurant offered authentic Thai food and decor, which included wood carvings from Chiang Mai.
Despite not citing a reason for closure, Aroi-Thai thanked all of its customers for creating memories and being part of its story.

Aroi Thai said: "With heavy hearts, we want to share that our Thai restaurant has closed its doors.
"We are incredibly grateful for every customer who walked through our doors, shared meals with us, and supported our journey.
"Your smiles, kind words, and loyalty have meant everything to us.
"It has been an honour to serve you and be part of your moments - big and small.
"Though this chapter is ending, the memories we've created together will always stay with us.
"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story.
"With love and gratitude, Chris and Sunshine Aroi Thai Team."
