Nantwich resident applies to chop down tree with pigeons pooing on car

A frustrated Nantwich resident has applied for permission to cut down a tree due to pigeons constantly pooing on their car and damaging paintwork, with the smell causing breathing issues.
Asthma sufferer, Helen Mitchell, of Thomas Row, submitted proposals to fell a Leyland Cypress conifer tree behind her car on the residential street.
With six of the fast-growing evergreen trees behind Thomas Row, the applicant proposes to chop down the fourth tree along, behind their designated parking space.
Located on the edge of a conservation area, the applicant wants the green light from Cheshire East Council to cut the tree down.
The applicant said: "I want to apply to fell the tree which is causing my car to be covered in pigeon poo and is damaging the paintwork on my car.
"It is also causing problems with my asthma and breathing due to the smell.
"The tree does not have a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), but is on the border of a conservation area."
A target decicion decision date for the application is Wednesday 2 July.
