Nantwich Railway Station named one of county's 'best kept'
By Ryan Parker 10th Feb 2026
Nantwich has been named one of the county's 'best kept' stations.
The winners of Cheshire Best Kept Stations 2025 were crowned at the annual awards evening at Crewe Alexandra Football Club on Thursday 5 February.
Nantwich was handed the 'Northern Best Unstaffed Station Award' with nearby Sandbach also awarded.
Chair of the awards, Mark Barker, said: "This is a celebration of and for station volunteers and your work.
"Your hard work and pride in your stations make a huge difference not only to the stations but to your communities.

"They are part of our lives, where journeys begin and end, whether everyday trips for work, shopping, a day trip or a night out, important journeys to go on holiday or to university.
"Where loved ones are welcomed or bid farewell.
"They are gateways to our communities, to our lives.
"So what you do touches many lives, including your own, for what can be better for physical and mental health, self esteem and confidence than working as a team for something meaningful, beneficial and constructive.
"That pride you take in your work reflects on the community and all who use your station."
