A Nantwich man has been arrested on suspicion of engaging in sexual communications with a teenage girl, after being investigated by paedophile hunters.

On Saturday 22 June, Cheshire Police received reports of online group, Newcastle Hunters, questioning a man at his address on Mill Street.

Officers arrived at the scene, arresting a local man for the alleged sexual activity.

On social media, Newcastle Hunters reported the Nantwich man had sexually engaged with a 14-year-old girl online.

The Nantwich man, 43 has been arrested on suspicion of engaging in sexual communications with a teenage girl (Cheshire Police).

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 8.40am on Saturday June 22, police were called to reports of an incident on Mill Street, Nantwich.

"Officers attended the scene and arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of engaging in sexual communications with a child.

"The man has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries."
