Two of Nantwich's independent businesses have teamed up to create a brand new cider that celebrates everything they love about the town, music, pubs and supporting local.

The collaboration brings together Traction's traditional cider-making with Applestump's love of independent music and record culture.

The name Spinover combines the gentle tickover of the vintage traction engine used in Traction's cider-making process with the spinning of a vinyl record, a meeting of two crafts built on tradition, passion and originality.

Bottles of Spinover will be available in a selection of pubs across Nantwich, giving people the chance to enjoy the collaboration while supporting the town's thriving hospitality scene.

Co-owner of Applestump Records, Steve Cook, said: "Applestump has always been about bringing people together through music, so working with another local independent business to create something completely different just made sense.

"Traction shares our passion for quality, craftsmanship and doing things the right way.

"If Spinover encourages people to discover a new local pub, pick up a record, listen to a new artist or simply support an independent business, then we've achieved exactly what we set out to do."

The collaboration was officially launched on Friday 24 July at a special evening hosted by Applestump Records, bringing together music lovers, cider enthusiasts and supporters of local independent businesses.

Traction Cider, renowned for producing small-batch traditional cider using locally grown Herefordshire apples, worked closely with Applestump to create a collaboration reflecting the values shared by both businesses: authenticity, craftsmanship and supporting local.

Spinover is available now in limited-edition bottles from selected pubs and venues across Nantwich while stocks last.
