A fire in Nantwich was put out last night (May 10), as flames were deemed to be 'too close' to woodland.
At 7.42pm, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attended an area of Shrewbridge Road, with one fire engine from Nantwich arriving at the scene.
Nantwich firefighters put out flames with a hose reel jet, ensuring local trees were protected.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A controlled burn was extinguished using a hose reel jet, as it was deemed to be too close to an area of woodland.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots."
