A Nantwich coffee shop has been boosted from a new five-star food hygiene rating, according to a recent Food Standard Agency (FSA) report.
The Food Standard Agency (FSA) Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, is aimed at helping people choose where to eat out or shop for food.
The FSA scheme is in partnership with local authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It gives businesses a rating from 0 to 5 - displayed at their premises and online.
A five-star hygiene rating means 'hygiene standards are very good' for the business.
All information was taken from the Food Standard Agency website as of Tuesday 21 May:
- Pepper Street Coffee, Pepper Street - Five Star (May 16, 2024).
A food safety officer from Cheshire East Council inspected the Nantwich coffee shop to check it was following food hygiene law and ensuring the food sold was safe to eat.
At all inspections, the officer judged the following three elements:
- Hygienic food handling - very good
- Cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building - very good
- Management of food safety - very good
Pepper Street Coffee was rated five-star based on these checks.
