A Nantwich town centre bank branch is set to shorten its opening hours later this year, following a review of its locations across the UK.

TSB, based at 1/3 Churchyardside, will change its opening hours from Friday 30 August, 2024.

Currently, TSB Nantwich is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.

From Friday 30 August, 2024, TSB Nantwich will close at 4pm on every day it is open (Wiki Commons).

From this date, the branch will close at 4pm on every day it is open.

Analysis from TSB on the Nantwich branch found 100 per cent of personal customers and 7 per cent of business customers use the bank in the hours it will soon be closed.

TSB discovered 76 per cent of personal customers and 86 per cent of business customers also use another local TSB branch.

A branch review says: "The way customers bank with us is changing. Over 95 per cent of transactions are now being made using mobile, online and other ways to bank, instead of in our branches.

"More customers than ever are using our video and telephone banking service.

"We remain committed to face-to-face services across the country, and over 90 per cent of our customers are within a 20 minute drive to a branch, or location of a money confidence expert.

"We want our services to reflect the current and future needs of our customers, so we are adjusting the hours of our quieter branches so we're open when customers use the branch most.

"We will be using the additional time when we're not open to support customers in other ways.

Currently, TSB Nantwich is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays (Chris Palin).

"We are here to support customers through these changes.

"If your branch has an external cash machine, we will continue to offer this service 24/7, even on the days the branch is not open."
