Men on e-scooters attempt to open car door while woman sat at Nantwich traffic lights

At around 10.20pm on Monday 28 April, a woman was sat at traffic lights at the junction of Beam Street and Barony Road, when men on e-scppters attempted to open her car door (Nub News).

Cheshire Police are appealing for information and video footage, after masked men attempted to open a woman's car door while stopped at traffic lights in Nantwich.

At around 10.20pm on Monday 28 April, a woman, 53, was driving along Beam Street in Nantwich.

As she was waiting at the traffic lights at the junction of Beam Street and Barony Road, four to five unknown men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas approached her vehicle on e-scooters.

The 53-year-old woman had been driving along Beam Street (pictured), and was approached by the men when stopping at the junction with Barony Road (Nub News).

No threats were made, but one of the men unsuccessfully attempted to open the victim's car door.

The victim drove off from the scene and reported the matter to police.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

Sergeant Matt Stonier said: "Clearly this is a concerning incident, and we're committed to doing all we can to establish what took place.

"Patrols have been stepped up in the area and as part of our investigation we're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and believes they may have witnessed anything suspicious.

Enquiries in relation to the Nantwich incident are ongoing, with Cheshire Police urging anyone with any information to come forward (Cheshire Police).

"The same goes for anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage which may aid our investigation.

"I urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to call us on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML 2078822."
