Man, 66, charged in relation to Nantwich car park pensioner attack

A 66-year-old Nantwich man has been charged in relation to a town car park attack on an elderly man, which took place in winter 2025.
Richard Garside, of Nantwich, was arrested on 3 November 2025.
Garside has since been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
The Nantwich man is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on 15 July 2026.
This charge relates to an assault on 3 November in Civic Hall Car Park, Beam Street, in which an 86-year-old man suffered a serious head injury.
