A man is currently under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of drug driving in South Cheshire.

On Sunday 16 March, Cheshire Police stop checked a Citroen Picasso on Woore Road, Audlem.

Around 10.26pm, officers ordered the man to take a roadside drugs test, which he failed.

The man was arrested for the listed offence, possession of a class B drug and driving with an expired licence.

The 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, possession of a class B drug and driving with an expired licence (Cheshire Police).

His vehicle was seized at the scene. The man has since been released pending further enquiries.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 10.26pm on Sunday 16 March, two officers from the Special Constabulary on patrol in Audlem stop checked a vehicle on Woore Road. 

"The driver, a 32-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

"He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
