A major road on the edge of Nantwich is set to close across four days, allowing a variety of works to take place.

On Monday 26 January, Chester Road, from Millstone Lane to Waterlode, will close from 9.30am to 2pm.

This closure allows Cheshire East Highways to carry out road marking works for surface dressing.

Then, from 27 January to 29 January, Chester Road will close one way, from Willbraham Road to the junction of Cuckoo Lane, between 8am and 5pm.

This closure is necessary for works to be carried out by Dutton Traffic Management.

The alternative route will be via Chester Road, Waterlode, High Street, Oat Market, Beam Street, Barony Road and Millstone Lane.

There will be no cyclist or pedestrian access through the closure, however pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
