Major road in Nantwich closed until Friday for jetting works

A major road in Nantwich is closed for five hours a day this week, allowing jetting maintenance works to be carried out.

Chester Road, from the junction of Monks Lane to the junction of Cuckoo Lane, closed at 9.30am on Monday 30 September.

The road will be closed until 2.30pm each day until the afternoon of Friday 4 October.

This closure is necessary for Cheshire East Highways to carry out jetting of the highways.

Chester Road, Acton, will be closed until 2.30pm each day until the afternoon of Friday 4 October (Google).

The alternative route is via: Millstone Lane, Millstone Lane Roundabout, Middlewich Road, A530 Roundabout, Nantwich Bypass, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Nantwich Bypass, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Newcastle Road, London Road, London Road Roundabout, Hospital Street, Pratchetts Row, Station Road, Park Road Roundabout, Waterlode and Chester Road.

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

Cyclists will be required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.

Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
