A new exhibition, 'Lazy Afternoon in Cheshire' by local artist Ela Levando has opened at Nantwich Museum and is due to run until 3 January, 2026.
Featuring familiar Cheshire scenes, the exhibition includes oil and acrylic on canvas paintings.
The works were inspired by solitary walks through the quiet corners of Cheshire during the Covid 19 pandemic.
A 'Meet the Artist' event will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday 25 October, when visitors will have the opportunity to view the exhibition, meet Ela and discuss her work.

Ela is a visual artist and interior designer who grew up and trained in Poland. She graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Łódź, specialising in exhibition design and decoration, and went on to study painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
As well as opening her own interior architecture studio, she has taught drawing and painting.
She believes that art is the one activity that truly sets humans apart from other species, and that it plays a vital role in our well-being.
One of her favourite quotations comes from street artist Banksy "The 'Earth' without 'art' is just Eh".
Most of the artwork is available for sale.
The museum in Pillory Street is open from 10am to 4pm (Tuesday to Saturday). Entry is free to the museum and exhibition.
