Founder of Nantwich Triathlon Club wins prestigious award with leisure firm

The founder of Nantwich Triathlon Club has won a prestigous award from Everybody Health & Leisure.
Paul McIntyre, founder of Nantwich Triathlon Club, won the chairman's award at The Everybody Awards 2025.
Hosted by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Everybody Health & Leisure's chairman, Councillor Andrew Kolker who chose Paul from a list of shortlisted candidates.
Everybody Health & Leisure say he was chosen because "he is a man with a clarity of vision and a dedication to his sport".
A founder of the Nantwich Triathlon Club, and Paul's guidance the club has skyrocketed in the last four years, even getting attention from British Triathlon, the national governing body, for its outstanding community impact.
An Everybody Health & Leisure spokesperson said: "He uplifts and mentors fellow club members, enabling them to grow in confidence and reach their own leadership potential. His approach is rooted in community, accessibility, and shared celebration.
"Our winner does not stop at just Triathlon! He has also launched two other community initiatives: The Dabbers Dash and The Farmers Pants - both are free, inclusive and designed to bring people together through physical activity.
"The judges were simply blown away by the incredible achievements, dedication and determination of this individual, making him a great choice for the Chairman's award."
On the night Paul spoke about new projects he's got coming up with to help social isolation amongst farmers and to get even more people active in his community.
