Fire crews tackle car blaze on Nantwich residential street

Fire crews tackled car blaze on a residential street in Nantwich, which came from the vehicle's engine.
On Monday 15 June, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Davenport Avenue.
At 7.09pm, one fire engine and a rapid response rescue unit from Nantwich arrived at the scene.
On arrival, Nantwich firefighters discovered flames coming from the engine component of a car.
A hose reel was used to put out the flames, with no injuries reported.
Cheshire Police confirmed to Nub News officers did not attend the incident.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a vehicle on fire in Davenport Avenue, Nantwich.
"Crews found one car well alight, involving a fire in the engine compartment.
"Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put the fire out, before scanning the vehicle with a thermal imaging camera to ensure no hot spots remained."
