Fire crews tackled a serious barn blaze near Nantwich over the weekend for over eight hours, in a suspected arson attack incident.
In the early hours of Sunday 4 January, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Cholmondeley Road, Nantwich.
From 12.41am, fire engines from Tarporley, Malpas, Nantwich, Audlem, Chester, Alsager, Winsford, Middlewich and Congleton attended the scene, along with support from the Welfare Support Unit from Penketh.
Five hose reel jets were used to get the fire involving hay and straw under control, which had breached the barn roof.
Due to the suspected deliberate nature of the incident, Cheshire Police were called to the scene.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews were in attendance of a barn fire in Nantwich involving hay and straw, with the fire having breached the roof on arrival. Firefighters removed cattle from nearby barns as a precaution.
"Working throughout the night, five hose reel jets were used to get the fire under control, and thermal imaging cameras were used to monitor for hotspots throughout the premises.
"Crews continued to turn over and dampen down the fire and surrounding area, with water being shuttled to the scene. Police were informed, as the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
"Firefighters remained on scene, continuing to monitor temperature and dampen down any hotspots discovered within the barn.
"The hay was removed from the barn and turned over, using a hose reel jet to dampen down."
