A teenage girl suffered minor injuries after being knocked down by a car in a Nantwich hit-and-run last week.

On Tuesday 13 May, emergency services were called to an incident on Beam Street.

Around 3.30pm, Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, disovering a girl had been hit by a car which had failed to stop at the scene.

Enquiries into the Nantwich hit-and-run incident are currently ongoing (Cheshire Police).

A Cheshire Police spokesperon said: "On Tuesday 13 May, police were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Beam Steet, Nantwich.

"The caller reported there had been a collision involving a teenage girl and a car at around 3.30pm.

"The teenager is believed to have suffered minor injuries and the car failed to stop at the scene.

"Enquiries are currently ongoing. Anyone with any information can contact Cheshire Police quoting IML-2089295."
