Wickes has donated surplus ceramic wall and floor tiles to Building Heroes' training academy at Nantwich's Reaseheath College, helping veterans and their families gain practical skills for a future career in construction.

The donation, made through the Wickes Community Programme, will provide learners with the materials needed to complete hands-on tiling training and assessments as part of Building Heroes' construction courses.

By providing access to real construction materials, the donation will help learners develop practical experience, build confidence and gain the skills needed to support their transition into civilian careers within the construction industry.

Building Heroes is a Queen's Award-winning military charity supporting veterans and their immediate family members through construction training and employment opportunities.

Its programmes combine practical learning with industry knowledge to help participants build successful careers after military service.

The donation also supports Wickes' commitment to giving surplus products a second life by helping materials that can no longer be sold to support community projects and organisations.
