A closed down former Willaston pub and hotel is currently for sale for offers in excess of £300,000, six months after the venue closed down in the South Cheshire village.

The Lamb, Wistaston Road, was permanently closed by owners, Punch Pubs, on 28 July 2025, after deciding it no longer fitted in the pub and bar operator's "future plans."

Marketed by Savills, the two-storey detached venue is for sale in hope of it being taken over by another pub operator.

After The Lamb's closure, Head of Estates at Punch Pubs & Co, Stephen Radford, said: "We regularly review our estate to ensure it aligns with our long-term strategic goals.

"Following a review earlier this year, we made the decision that The Lamb no longer fits within our future plans.

"As a result, we will be placing the pub on the market for sale, with the intention of it continuing its use as a pub."

Offering car parking to the side and rear for approximately 15 vehicles, the pub also offers a beer garden and patio, commercial kitchen, conservatory dining and first floor living accommodation.

Savills say: "The property is located in the village of Willaston in the unitary authority of Cheshire East, Cheshire. The village is approximately three miles south-west of Crewe and two miles east of Nantwich.

"The Lamb Hotel is situated in a residential area to the village centre. To the rear, there is Willaston Whitestar Football Club and directly opposite is Willaston Social Club. The village is located between the A500 and A534.
