Cheshire East Council will review the premises licence of a pub in Nantwich, following "noise nuisance" complaints.
On Thursday 29 August, a licence review was submitted on behalf of The Leopard, London Road.
The review of the The Leopard's licence comes after complaints were received in relation to noise coming from its outside dining/drinking area ''Hunters Hideout,' which opened in April 2023.
Complainants believe The Leopard is undermining its licensing objective to prevent public nuisance.
The Leopard is currently open 12pm to 11pm (Sunday to Wednesday) and 12pm to 12am (Thursday to Saturday).
Its licence will now be reviewed in front of a local licensing commiteee.
The premises licence review reads: "Notice is given that Cheshire East Council has received on the 29 August 2024 an application for the review of the premises licence in respect of the premises known as: The Leopard, 33 London Road, Nantwich.
"The grounds for the review application are: Noise nuisance from the external area of the premises, specifically the dining/drinking area known as 'Hunters Hideout'.
"Thus undermining the Prevention of Public Nuisance Licensing Objective."
Representations to the premises licence review shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Thursday 26 September.
You can also submit your representation by emailing: [email protected].
