ALERT: Flood warnings in place across Nantwich

Three flood warnings have been put in place for in Nantwich following heavy rainfall and snow.

Flooding of Nantwich properties is "expected" on Monday 6 January, say The Environment Agency (EA).

Warnings have been in place for areas surrounding Lakeside View, Nantwich Riverside and Shrewbridge Lodge since the early hours.

The Environment Agency said: "More rainfall is forecast in Nantwich throughout Monday 6 January.

Flooding of Nantwich properties is 'expected' on Monday 6 January, say The Environment Agency (EA).

"Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. 

"Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. 

"We are closely monitoring the situation and are monitoring rainfall and river levels."
