Police appeal following serious crash by Snugburys Ice Cream

At 2.10pm on Wednesday 9 July, there was a three-vehicle collision outside Snugbury’s on the A51 Chester Road, Hurleston (Google).

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision near Nantwich, where three people were taken to hospital.

At 2.10pm on Wednesday 9 July, there was a three-vehicle collision outside Snugbury's on the A51 Chester Road, Hurleston.

A Jaguar F Pace and a Peugeot 308 were travelling towards Tarporley, with a Renault Master travelling in the opposite direction towards Nantwich when the crash occured.

The driver of the Peugeot sustained serious injuries and was cut free from the vehicle by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

None of the injuries sustained in the Hurleston crash are believed to be life-threatening (Cheshire Police).

They were then passed into the care of North West Air Ambulance paramedics, with two other casualties taken to hospital.

Crewe and Nantwich firefighters used environmental spill mats to contain a diesel spill and prevent it from entering nearby drains.

Cheshire Police closed the A51 and managed traffic while the collision was dealt with.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website, quoting IML 2129240.
